When investigating the paranormal, it helps to have a good sense of humor. Our best evidence is sometimes caught when investigators are talking and laughing, as if the entity wants to be a part of the conversation. While PSL takes investigations extremely seriously, we also are able to have a good time and laugh at ourselves often. Sometimes it is the investigators who are joking around and having a good time, sometimes it is the entity, and sometimes it is other various things.
- Many times while investigating, outside noises interfere with investigation sessions. We often attempt to get spirits to communicate with us by asking a series of questions and hoping we get verbal responses. Sometimes we ask for knocks. To ensure that we are actually communicating with an entity, and not mistaking a noise for an old house settling or similar noise, we often will ask an entity to knock twice, or to knock in a pattern. When we asked if the entity could finish Shave and a Haircut, we got a rather humorous response:
- We also sometimes get answers to EVPS that we are not exactly expecting, which are not paranormal in nature. In this clip, the founder was investigating an old barn that was in the middle of a pasture. As you will hear, cows were present and were extremely willing to help out:
- Even bodily functions can sometimes cause problems during investigations. Since we investigate late at night, it is often quiet. The investigators who are stationed at the central command post try to be as quiet as possible, so as not to disrupt the investigation. However, they are not always as quiet as they think they are being:
- Sometimes we do things to lighten the mood at the investigations. For example, during a particularly quiet investigation, Jeremy decides to make some noise to stir up some activity. Unfortunately, the house was quiet at the time the only activity he stirred up was from the other investigators after he startled them:
