Claims & History
Several of the citizens present expressed a general reluctance to enter the home and considered it to be haunted. Some expressed creepy feelings in the home. The owner said he had not seen or heard anything personally. The client’s granddaughter (age 3) will sit on the porch and talk to someone. She says she goes there to talk to Pawpa (the clients believe she is referring to the owner’s father, who is deceased). Last summer the house to the south of this house was having a new roof put on. There was a crew of four Hispanic workers and two to three Caucasian men. The four Hispanic men were on the roof and they saw something in the windows in this house which caused all four of them to get off of the roof and get in their cars and leave. They refused to come back and other workers had to be brought in to finish the job.
We performed two separate investigations of this location. All of the experiences and evidence have been compiled together onto this page.
Personal Experiences
- Attic: Brandon was touched on right side of his neck by a cold spot. Lisa went over to him and checked for drafts, cobwebs and other items that may have caused the sensation, but there was no draft and nothing was found that might have caused the sensation. Brandon described the sensation as a very specific area like a line drawn on his skin, not a puff of air. Lisa began asking questions at that point, including asking if specific people who lived in the house were present. When Lisa asked “Is this Donald?” an EVP was caught on audio on a digital recorder saying “I am here.”
- Shortly after, Lisa was touched on the right side of her face, tracing a line from just below her eye down her cheek. Again, no draft was present and nothing was detected that might have caused the sensation. A short time later, during the EVP session, there was a hit on the KII meter, which was lying on a pillow on the floor about three feet in front of Brandon and Lisa. The second light on the KII lit up for a second or two, then went off, then went on again for a second or two before going off again.
- During this time Eric observed what he described as a shadow by the doorway that seemed to shift without explanation. Several minutes later, Lisa thought she saw a shadow in the same area by the doorway shift shape from the corner of her eye, but could not be sure. Also, during this time period, Lisa felt a cold spot on her right hand. The sensation was localized to the fingers and hands and felt as if her hand was in a bucket of ice resulting in a numbing feeling. The right fingers felt colder to the touch than the left fingers. The sensation of cold on Brandon’s neck and Lisa’s face lasted several hours until it gradually faded.
- Shortly after Lisa, Brandon and Eric came downstairs, Jeremy, Brian and Leon went to the attic to see if they could duplicate the experiences. Brian experienced the cold spot on his right hand and said it felt like it traveled through his hand. Jeremy noted he felt the cold spot around Brian’s hand. Jeremy tried provoking techniques and attempted to provoke a response. Shortly thereafter, Brian asked if Donald was there and immediately following on audio is an evp “Go.”
- After midnight, Jeremy, Brian, Lisa and Brandon returned to the attic. Cold spots on the right hand were experienced by each investigator. There were several times when we asked for responses by making noise, including one knock for yes and two for no and had 4-5 responses in a row. The KII meter hit during EVP work and lit up several times including a 6-8 second period where all five lights lit continuously and ended when Lisa asked, “If that was you make the lights go out.” The lights went out immediately.
- The Mel-meter was used with the KII meter and the vibration sensor was on. The vibration sensor did not activate while the KII meter was lit up. The sump pump cycled on and off without causing the vibration sensor or KII meter to activate. However, the vibration sensor was activated by stomping on the floor. At one point, the vibration sensor was activated without movement by the investigators. Leon and Eric joined us in the attic. Leon observed a shifting shadow in the area behind where Lisa and Brandon were standing. The question was asked of any entity present to make a noise to let us know it was there. At that time, the metal sign that was hanging on the support post made a noise. Lisa, Brandon and Eric were all in that area, but none were close enough to accidentally bump it or touch it.
- Basement: While Lisa, Brandon and Eric went upstairs the first time, Jeremy and Brian went to investigate the basement. An EVP session was conducted, including asking anyone in the basement to build a fire. Later, during an EVP session, Eric told Leon he wanted to go by the fireplace in the living room and conduct a session. While setting an audio recorder on the fireplace mantle, Eric’s wrist passed over an old porcelain doll's head and bust (no cloth body) and felt heat over above the doll’s head. He then touched the doll and it was cold to the touch. He called Leon over who felt heat above the doll’s head. Jeremy, who was passing by, was asked to wave examine the fireplace, and also noticed the hear. When Brian and Lisa felt above the doll they each felt air pressure pushing up against their hands, but no heat. Leon then held his hand over the doll and touched that hand to Lisa’s cheek and then Brian’s cheek and his hand felt hot as if held in front of a fire.
- Master bedroom: Toward the end of the investigation, Jeremy, Eric and Brandon went back upstairs and, when they entered the master bedroom, felt a temperature change, with the air in that bedroom feeling 10-15 degrees warmer than the rest of the upstairs. There was no apparent cause, as no heat was on. There was one small electric heater in the kitchen that had been turned on shortly before, but temperature readings showed the temperature in the kitchen rose 8 degrees to 58 from 50, and considering the distance to the master bedroom and that the master bedroom was not above the kitchen, it seems implausible that the temperature change upstairs was caused by the heater in the kitchen.
Second investigation:
- Attic: The cold spots and KII hits were not replicated. An EVP was found that appeared to be a woman’s voice saying ok after Jeremy relayed a direction to Brian. The EVP was a female voice, but was not Lisa, and she was the only female present in the house at the time it was recorded. Alex felt a sensation on the back of his neck while standing in the same area that Lisa and Brandon had been standing in when they experienced cold spots on the neck and face respectively. While packing up camera equipment, Brian felt a sensation on the back of his neck similar to being touched by someone’s finger. Lisa was present and witnessed him react to something at the back of his head.
Evidence
1st Investigation:
After Eric asks “Would you like for us to leave,” an EVP is present that sounds like “No,” followed by a spike on the KII meter.
Lisa asks if the entity has a message that she would like to give her granddaughter. At the eighteen second mark, you hear an EVP which sounds like “hi.”
This is not an EVP per se. Early in the recording, you can hear something hit the metal sign that hangs on the post in the attic. Nobody was close enough to the sign to hit it at this point in the investigation. Around one minute and thirty seconds, the vibration detector activates. None of the team members had moved.
Brian asks if Donald is here. At the five second mark, a very subtle “Go” can be heard.
Lisa asks “Is this Donald?” At the three second mark, you can hear a response stating “I’m here.” The second clip is the EVP selected, amplified, and slowed down to make it easier to hear.
This is several knocks, seemingly in response to questions. When an investigator caused the noise, you hear them admit it. There is a loud knock after the question “Is this Donald.” This seems to be consistent with the 5th EVP.
Upon investigation, there were no tree limbs hitting the house, or any other plausible explanations for the knocks.
2nd Investigation:
EVP 1: After Jeremy says “Tell him we’re turning it all the way off,” a female voice responds “Okay.” Lisa speaks clearly immediately before Jeremy said this, saying “mmkay.” The voice is not the same, and sounds like a whisper.
EVP 2: After Eric asks Paul if there’s anything he wants to say before they leave, a subtle EVP can be heard at the fifteen to sixteen second mark. It sounds like “Not gonna miss you,” though there may be more to it earlier.
Footsteps: Jeremy heard footsteps while sitting in Lee’s room. He mistook it for someone coming down the hall towards him. When nobody came close, he realized they were not human footsteps. These are subtle footstep like sounds, but could also be rodents in the walls.
