HUGE news for all of our friends and fans! One of PSL's lead members, Lisa Martin, will soon be a published author! Lisa recently wrote a book titled "Civil War Ghosts of Southwest Missouri" chronicling the history of the Civil War in Southwest Missouri and the hauntings that it has spawned, including Kendrick Place. The book is being published by History Press, and is now available for pre-order via the publisher's website (you'll have to perform a search to get to it), or through Amazon.com. After our experiences with the Kendrick House, Lisa became interested in learning more about the Civil War ghost stories of our area. Following exhaustive research, her book is finally ready to go, and it promises to be an excellent compilation of not only history, but hauntings in our hometowns! We hope you all will join us in congratulating Lisa! Be sure to pre-order your copy today!

Also, don't forget that we have another outstanding Kendrick House tour coming up on July 16th! Our last tour had a great turnout and, of course, all proceeds go to continued preservation of this great piece of Civil War history! Click here to reserve your spot today!

It has been a really tough week in southwest Missouri, as we're sure many of you are aware. However, all of our PSL members and their families are safe and sound - thanks to everyone who has inquired about our well-being! Several of our team members pitched in to help in the initial response with cleanup and other volunteer efforts, as well as making donations to organizations collecting funds and supplies for those affected. Despite the storm and ongoing efforts for cleanup and recovery, we will still keep doing what we do best, and we are announcing our next round of Haunted History Tours at the Kendrick House! These will be held on June 11th and July 16th. Click here to request a spot and show your support for this great piece of Civil War History!

PSL has been very busy in Carthage lately - aside from helping out with the Kendrick House, we had the very distinct honor to be the first group ever to investigate the historic Jasper County courthouse in Carthage. The courthouse, which was completed in 1895, is included on the National Register of Historic Places and has been the subject of several stories of haunting activity. Because of scheduling conflicts, we were unable to complete a full, all-night investigation as we normally would, but we are looking to re-schedule to allow us to thoroughly investigate the reports of hauntings. A special thanks goes out to a couple of special members of local government who have supported our mission and who played an integral role in helping arrange our investigation! Plus, a thanks to all of our fans who have made us the most trusted paranormal investigative group in the southwest Missouri area!

In other news, several members of PSL will be helping with the sesquicentennial (150-year) anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Carthage! We will be embedded with the reenactors and filming the historic event! The troops will be encamped at the Municpal Park starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday the 14th, will march at 1:00 p.m. to Central Park and the Square, and the battle will commence at around 2:00 p.m. Spectators are, of course, welcome - and after the battle, please go visit the Kendrick House. Visitors will have the chance to learn about the historic Kendrick House, take a tour, enjoy some refreshments, and enter a raffle for a framed print of the house! Hope to see our fans there!
